My message to you is: You’re always right.
\nWhat you feel is always right.
\n
\nEvery signal coming through you means something and it’s right. You may not be right about what it means, but it’s still right.
\n
\nI have my students set an alarm on their phones that says ‘You are right’ and have it ring every hour.
\n
\nIf you feel it, it’s there for a reason.
\nYou are right.
\n
\nSit on it like an egg, wait for it to hatch.
\nYou’ll find out what it means.
\n
\nDo not abandon it, do not question it, and do not make it mean something wrong about you.
\n
\nSelf-attack is among the biggest plagues that women are suffering right now. It’s the way we take ourselves and each other down.
\n
\nOne of the first steps to recovery is: everything that you feel is right.
\n
\nYou don’t have to understand why it’s right, or how to apply it right away, but it’s always right.
\n
\nHonor it.

It’s okay to feel angry, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel sad, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel fearful, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel confused, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel desperate, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel compulsive, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel heartbroken, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel jealous, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel judgmental, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel misunderstood, even when it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel uninspired, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel ashamed, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel denied, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel empty, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel left out, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel hopeless, even if it’s not okay with you.
No matter how you feel, you deserve more love, not less. When love is not a feeling to chase or hold in place, but the compassionate support that befriends each emotion and embraces how you feel, you are able to find the companionship you desire without abandoning yourself in the process. This is how acceptance blossoms for the well-being of all. It is the way of heart-centered consciousness.I love you. www.truedivinenature.com

A friend told me about this Core Emotion Wheel, introduced to her by Dr. Glen Hill from Nashville. They use it with their children like this:
"The purpose of this exercise is to 1. Help people (not just kids) identify their emotions and 2. Help give words to a person “under attack” by their emotions.
If you do the entire wheel in one turn, the exercise goes like this (answers sampled from my family members): “I feel joy when you guys tell me my dinner is good,” “I feel lonely when no one wants to play with me,” “I feel anger when someone takes my toy away,” “I feel hurt when someone thinks I’m lying,” “I feel shame when I have wrong answers on a test,” “I feel guilt when I say mean words to someone and hurt their feelings,” “I feel fear when someone yells at me,” and “I feel sad when I can’t spend time with you.”
Our goal is to use the Core Emotion Wheel to help us connect as a family over dinner. When we normally ask about each others’ days, now we can connect with the significant emotions/events of the day."
